Mustangs Take Top Prize at 2007 Summer Sectionals!

The Dallas Mustangs were a dominant force at this summer’s United States Sectional Championships held in San Antonio, July 25-28. The Mustangs finished in first place nearly doubling the second place team’s point total en route to the team’s third Sectional title in as many years.

Kannon Betzen picked up a couple of victories, along with a national qualifying time in the 100 breast and Caleb Veazey also achieved a national cut in winning the 800 free. The Mustang relays were again one of our strengths in the meet and showed our team’s depth. The most impressive relay event for us was the women’s 400 medley relay, where the Mustangs “A”, “B”, and “C” relays placed 1st, 2nd and 5th, respectively.
