In the Texas High School UIL Championships held in
Mustang swimmers had a fantastic showing at finals bringing home a number of individual and relay medals at the State Championships held at UT-Austin.
The Highland Park (HP) High School Women’s Team, fueled by a number of DM swimmers, won their seventh consecutive 4A State Women’s Title. Congratulations to Megan Arnold, Alexandra Weber, Allison Arnold, Bolton Harris & Delaney Rolfe in their support of the HP victory. These DM Swimmer’s had a hand in 85% of the 246 points scored by the state champions!
The JJ Pearce High School Men’s Team, with DM swimmers John & Nick Kalivas leading the charge, won the 4A State Men’s Title. John & Nick had a hand in 72% of the 239 points scored by the state champions!

Highland Park’s 400 Free Relay Team, fully loaded with DM swimmer’s – Allison Arnold, Bolton Harris, Alex Weber & Megan Arnold – brought home a 4A Gold Medal putting the finishing touch on HP’s seventh consecutive women’s state championship. |

Clint Hallum – Double Gold! Clint Hallum,
Mesquite Poteet, won TX-4A Gold in the 200 & 500 Free. This brings Clint’s overall individual state medal count over his high school years to six. Clint won silver medals in these same events at last year’s championships. As a sophomore he won Bronze in the 200 IM and Silver in the 500 Free. Clint will be attending and swimming for the LSU Bengal Tigers this
coming Fall. |

John & Nick Kalivas – Double Trouble! John & Nick Kalivas, JJ Pearce High
School, wrapped up an illustrious high school career leading their team to
the Nick brought home Gold in the 100 Fly and contributed to the team’s
victory with a 4th place finish in the 50 Free. John scored double Silver in the 100 Free & 200 Free. In the 200 John finished closely behind

Max Murphy –
Flower Mound! Max Murphy, a
Junior at Lewisville Flower Mound, won the Bronze Medal in the TX-5A 100 Fly
& Silver in the 100 Back. |

Matt Thompson – Jesuit Prep! Matt Thompson, a Sophomore at Jesuit, won
the Gold Medal in 100 Back in the TX-5A Championships. Matt made it a double medal day by scoring
Silver in the 200 IM. This duplicates Matt’s
results in these same two events during his Freshman year. So far Matt is 4 for 4 medaling in
individual events! |
Stephanie Martin
– Stephanie Martin, a Junior at Dallas Wilson,
won a Silver in the 100 Breast in the TX-4A
Championships. Stephanie also made
finals in the 100 Fly finishing seventh This follows her Silver in the 100 Breast in
the TX-4A Championships as a Sophomore.
Stephanie won Bronze in this same event as a Freshman. |

Allison Arnold, a Freshman at HP, started
her high school swimming with an enormous bang! Allison won Gold medals in the TX-4A
