What an Awesome Valentine Gift!!

Our intrepid Mustang National Group swimmers were rewarded with a special Valentines Day gift from Mother Nature - - an early morning 3” snowfall that gently covered the Dallas area and the SMU Pool for their morning outdoor work-out. This was a fun snow, not like the typical Dallas ice-crystal pelting that we get once or twice per year. This was soft, fluffy, big-flake great for snowball and snowman makin’ Yankee snow.

It was reported that Coach Mook Rhodenbaugh (an experienced Ohio native) was so enamored of the stuff, and the dedication of his swimmers, that he encouraged them during their laps with a few well placed snowballs from the deck. After work-out the team made a snowman to commemorate the event.
