Mustangs Perform Proudly at 2004 Short Course TAGS!

The 2004 Short Course Texas Age Group Championship (TAGS) was held in the friendly confines of Alfred J. Loos Natatorium - Addison, TX. While we were not fortunate to earn a coveted banner during the event, your Mustangs finished a hard fought 13^th place out of 63 teams sending swimmers to the event.

Event Highlights

Clint Hallum Goes the Distance! Clint had a fantastic meet earning medals in 6 of the maximum 7 events that individuals are allowed to swim. In the 13-14 Age Group – 3^rd – 1000 Free 7^th – 100 Breast 3^rd – 400 IM 7^th – 500 Free 4^th – 1650 Free 8^th – 200 IM Way to Go Clint!	Clint Hallum demonstrated his versatility making finals in 3 distance free events; both IM events and the 100 Breaststroke.
	Spindrift Beck - TAGS Champion! Spin highlighted a great effort at TAGS by winning Gold in the 13-14 200 IM. Her other medals included – 2^nd – 100 Breast 3^rd – 400 IM 2^nd – 200 Breast At left, Spin Beck’s breaststroke contributed mightily to her 4 medal performance at TAGS.
13-14 Women Win Relay Bronze! Our Women swam to a 3^rd place finish in the 400 Yard Medley Relay. Congratulations to Alicia Stevens, Spin Beck, Beverly Weickgenant & Kelsey Hendricks.	13-14 Women Score in 200 Free Relay! Our Women swam to a 6^th place finish in the 200 Free Relay. Congratulations to Emma Gunning, Meredith Higgins, Spin Beck and Kelsey Hendricks.
	Caitlin Koranda Takes Three! Caitlin, competing in the 10 & Under Age Group, was a great representative for the Mustangs winning three medals! 6^th – 100 IM 5^th – 200 IM 4^th – 100 Back At left, Caitlin Koranda, did a great job at TAGS in the youngest age group competing at championships.
Matt Thompson – Champ & Record Setter! Matt had a super TAGS highlighted by winning Gold in the 13-14 Back and setting a new TAGS all-time record in the event. His other medals included – 6^th – 100 Fly 4^th – 400 IM 3^rd – 200 Back 7^th – 200 IM
Alicia Stevens – Triple Medalist! Alicia had a great TAGS making finals in three events in the 13 – 14 Age Group - 8^th – 200 Back 7^th – 200 Breast 4^th – 100 Back	Stephanie Martin – Breast Finals! Congratulations to Stephanie for making finals in the 200 Breaststroke for the 13-14 Age Group and coming home with a 7^th Place Medal.
	John Bannon – Double Medalist! Competing in the 13-14 Age Group, DM swimmer John Bannon contributed to the team bringing home medals in both Breaststroke events. John finished 4^th in the 100 Breast and came in 5^th in the 200 Breast. At left, John Bannon drives it home to a 4^th place medal in the 100 Breaststroke.
