The Dallas Mustangs brought a small, but talent laden, team to compete at the 2000 U.S. Open held in Auburn, Alabama from November 30th thru December 2nd, 2000. Buoyed by some strong individual performances and three top eight relay finishes, the DM Women finished 3rd overall at this prestigious meet.
Representing the Mustangs were Courtney Patterson, Katie McClelland, Codie Hansen, Jennifer Blackman and Candace Blackman.
Katie McClelland provided some big points for the team by bring home Silver medals in both the 100 and 200M Breaststroke.
All women's relays were swum by Courtney, Katie, Jennifer and Candace. They brought home 7th in the 800M Free Relay; 6th in the 400M Free Relay; and, brought home a Bronze by finishing 3rd in the 400M Medley Relay.

Courtney Patterson: 18th place 100 Backstroke
Candace Blackman: 12th place 50 Freestyle; 11th place 200 Freestyle
Katie McClelland: 2nd place 100 Breaststroke; 2nd place 200 Breaststroke
